Looking Back to Look Ahead with TheLittleLabs

Our name stems from a defining moment — when founders Camilo and Aradhana made the decision to leave their jobs at Disney in 2016 and forge a new path of independent artistic collaboration. Their dream was bigger than simply making things on their own terms; they sought to follow their hearts fearlessly and cultivate a brand that represented an uplifting and genuine new voice in the industry.

A brand, at its core, is more than a name or a logo — it’s a reflection of the values, experiences, and human connections. TheLittleLabs knew this and wanted to shape how people feel about the art produced.

With their combined expertise in illustration, design, animation, and product design, Camilo and Aradhana used their talents in a way they felt was most meaningful. Finding this meaning wasn’t straightforward. Over the years, they noticed a pattern working with companies big and small: the larger and more layered an organization becomes, the more distant decision-making feels, and the more the possibility of the authentic creative spark getting lost in the shuffle. That spark is what breathes soul into every idea and the heartbeat of any memorable brand.

Having established our spark, the word Little came into play. There’s room for everyone and no one should feel forced to fit into a mold. “Little” represents a small, tight-knit group of people who care deeply about making art which connects, inspires, and sparks conversation. We have embraced being fast, nimble, and inventive — traits that define our brand’s essence. That’s the beauty of being “little” yet mighty: we can pivot quickly, remain fearless in trying new things, and hold true to our vision. Our hope is that people feel the warmth, integrity, and sense of fun behind every project we undertake. 

TheLittleLabs is also built on the idea of experimentation like in a Laboratory — learning and discovering through trial and error. We pushed our own boundaries to improve our skills and continued growing. We stayed connected to the spark, collaborating within our team and with every client on a deeper human level. We wanted to contribute to work that mattered — a value which we’ve upheld time and again.

So when people think of TheLittleLabs, we hope that they know we’re not chasing after a big stage. Most importantly, we are simply enjoying the process — the joyful, soulful, and authentic work which keeps our creative spirit alive. That’s the heart of who we are and what we do.
