the beautiful mistake

Mar 12, 2026

In conversations with most artists we’ve had the chance to meet, agreed of a common thread about the process : “the beautiful mistake“

How can a mistake be beautiful? Here's an example: Every time we start a project, we brainstorm, research, and sketch. During this process, the obvious solution begins to dissolve. A mistake appears… and our instinct is to erase it and start over. But if we look deeper and push our patience instead of rushing, we realize we're creating for an audience with values. There's a subconscious human element that shows us something different. And here's the plot twist: the moment we realize the mistake, was actually the right solution.

Like any project it starts as a straight line and when you look back it was more jagged than the Alanis Album.

In our industry we often build pipelines and processes to put art in a conveyor belt. And of course, we need to pay rent.

And daily… we scroll this conveyor belt.

But here's what matters: we spend more time talking about tools replacing tools. Yes, anything is possible and it's faster now with AI. But then the work raises a question. lets ask what is the real meaning? What is the intent? Are we the robots filling the conveyor belt, feeding the algorithm? Two months of work dismissed with a thumb swipe? The answer is simple: we need to return to thoughtful work.

Our hope for the future is that we learn to distinguish what is art, what is a thoughtful brand, and what is plastic… people, should design for people.
